Here we go

I'm a terrible blogger. I can't believe it's been since mid-way through summer since I last wrote. I've been busy, yes, but that's not a very good excuse. I hate it when people use that as one when they don't call people back. I've been guilty of it, I admit, but I don't do it a whole lot.

Well school is zooming by already. It's been six? weeks and although I feel like I'm still in summer mode, I feel like this semester should be over soon. It's my last one with classes though! :( I won't be riding my bike to campus or meeting up with friends for lunch or to grab a quick beer in the LSC, and I won't be sitting in class listening to discussions without having to worry about leading them. Sad. But I still have a few months left, so I'll savor them. I owe my dear blog a lot of pictures, so eventually I will pick a variety since I last posted and put them up.

Well the weekends have been really good. It's usually either really laid back or really busy, both of which I enjoy, it just depends on my mood. Last weekend was crazy--we went out both nights and it ended up being really fun. One of the nights was our welcome home party for Dan since he just got back from El Salvador and that was a pretty good time (minus the fact that he has trouble eating American food so he was sick all night). This weekend is Tour de Fat where you dress up, ride bikes around town and then have a festival. I guess. I've never been of legal age to participate (nor have I ever even heard of it), but it should be pretty fun. That's why I'm "working on my essays right now"...This is my warm up write ok! Lay off! I really need to get going though because I have to shower before going to the abroad fair on campus. I hope they have some info about teaching abroad since that is what I really want to do.

Besides that things are good, yet busy. I'm swimming about twice a week with the master's team here, which I really like so far. I have class on M and W for a long time and then I come home and swim, so it makes those days very long. But overall, it makes the week go by faster. I have a ton of school work and this semester I'm taking the most credits I've ever taken, so I'm a little worried about that. I really need to get a job as well because I don't know how I am going to pay for anything. Especially gas since I finally have my car.
Friends are good, family is good even though I miss them, the roomies are just grand and things are dandy. I just need to stop procrastinating and work out when I say I'm going to and I'll be perfect! Just kidding.

Ok I'm gonna write my essays now, but I will be back sooner than later, seriously! Cheers for now!

Whew

I can't believe it. Summer is already halfway over. I've been moving in slow motion lately, it's too hot to be going too fast. Life is good though, I have no complaints.
I just got back from a weekend in the Fort, which was just what I needed. It was good to get away from the pool for a few days and hang out with my friends that live there. On Friday I got job aps and then we all just hung out with wings and beer, and on Saturday a few of us went swimming in Horsetooth. Which was fun, but I'm sure that reservoir is nasty. My suit smells like fish.

I've been doing what I can lately which seems like a lot of nothing. Work is routine, and my nights are just whatever seems to come up. I seem to go to Ash's with Jenn once a week to watch Sex and the City, I've been hanging out with Todd and Alex a few times a week, swimming with Lauren every so often as well as doing other things, hanging with Ash T, and I'm going to Fort Collins whenever I can and everywhere else when I can't. I've been out in Boulder and Denver, as well as just hanging out around here. So it's been good, and I've been keeping busy. I also just bought a plane ticket to New York!!! I'm going on the 26th to visit Hannah for a few days, and luckily I got on the same flight as Ashley. So that should be really fun. I haven't been out of the state (minus the road trip to North Dakota) since I went to Boston last spring. So I'm really excited. Plus I've never been to New York, and I think I should be getting around to going.

Until then I have to go to my cousin's Deb ball on the same night Lauren is going out for the big 2-1, so I'll have to meet them later. I also have my dad's b-day stuff tonight after work, and working out and working all week. I still have a ton of things I want to do this summer, which include hiking, the zoo, more Rockies games, camping, reading, going to the museum, Vail, Steamboat, Waterworld, tubing, ride my bike around and a few more. So I need to be keeping busy.
So far the pictures are from what I've been doing sorta, and there will be more to come.

Ah, I love summer :)

SUMMA TIME!

It's over! School is finally done. Or maybe I should say already... It went by so fast except for the last 3 weeks and then it was just terrible. Not that they didn't go too fast because I always felt like I didn't have enough time to do anything, but they were just long. If that makes any sense.

I was in the library most nights for the past two weeks for many hours at a time, typing my life away. I had two huge papers, one GIANT project (that I didn't even go to bed on Sunday night so I could finish it in time for our final time at 8 pm the next day--bad idea to procrastinate on that one), a big project that was due last week and a hard final I had to study for. I'm so sick of school and studying, so I am relieved to say the least. I'm pretty sure I'm developing carpel tunnel, my wrist is hurting so bad right now. I shouldn't be typing, so I will make it short.

Well yesterday was the end of school, and then I work the rest of this week and it will be the end of work here. I'm really glad I had that job, it was a good opportunity. I wish I could work there next semester but I don't have work study again, so it looks like I'll be on the job hunt again. I'll probably go out tonight and tomorrow, and then after work on Friday head down to Denver to watch boys league and spend a little time with the fam before heading back up here for a week to get organized, and then watch boys state and head back down for the rest of the summer to work at the pool once again. I'm kinda feeling bittersweet about that situation, but it should be good for the beginning at least.

It should be a good summer, I'll be heading to N.D. for my brother's orientation, and hopefully making a trip out to N.Y. to visit Hannah. Besides that, the pool, Fort Collins on the weekends, a little Boulder, and Steamboat. Sounds glorious. Minus my teacher licensure test in June that was pricey and it's gonna be HARD. Ugh, not looking forward to that one.

That's pretty much all that's going on. I'm hoping for decent grades, because I really don't deserve good grades. I don't really know what to blame it on...being 21, but mostly I just have to take the full blame for being super lazy and unmotivated. I don't know why, but I just couldn't really get into school this semester. I think it had a lot to do with my teachers, none of whom were very motivating themselves.

Ok I gotta go get ready to go out, but I will be back sooner I think. There's pictures from the sexual innuendo party we attended (I was a train conductor--look it up on urban dictionary), and then a few from a night a found a mullet wig and a fat suit, and then a few others from going out before finals and just hanging out with the girls.

Happy Summer 2007! Cheers!

Sprang tiiimme!!
