A new box of chalk

I have some exellent news. But first...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

And my wonderful news is that this is my first post of the year! How exciting is that?!?! I almost piddled myself, I'm sure everyone else did too.

Well this year has really been terrific/depressing. Less depressing, yet there is always something sad about not being able to get off my lardy ass and do something.

Yet I carry on. I have honestly had no time to do anything since this year began. I mean this was the only time I have had and it's one in the morning. Ach. Don't jump to conclusions and think I've been really busy with reading, writing, exercising, running errands, and cleaning. Because those are for sure the last things I have been doing. And the first things I should be doing. But it's been really good because I have been able to see all of the people I wanted. Let's go back to the first day of the new year.

Well the New Year was celebrated in complete awkardness as Lauren and I returned from downtown and watched TV with crabby Andy, mute John, silent Steve and three words Lynn. Totally strange, yet I had fun counting down to the year of 2006 and proceeding to drink an entire bottle of that sparkling cider by myself. I'm never doing that again, that's for sure. So after everyone left I went to bed. In pain because I was so full. Also in pain because my bed was only occupied by me and no new year's hottie. Too bad.

Then I became Jewish for a day as I celebrated Hannakah with Ashley's family and friends. And once again became so full I couldn't move and we had to take a walk just so I could begin breathing normally again. That night I just went to Amy's with Jenn and Ash and just caught up on the year's exciting events! Or lack there of. All the while I was having breathing difficulties. Still.

The rest of the week has been busy with a trip to Fort Collins to get the mail, and run some errands with Lauren. And I got to see Kristin for a night which was nice. After FoCo, I stayed at Elise's for a night and we went to some guy's house where it was me, Elise and five guys. Mix that with a little bit of fun in a bottle and you got yourself a grand old time.

Last night I hung out with Chris at our favorite meeting place--Starbucks of course, followed by some late night quality time with Alex. Today was shopping with my grandma, and then I spent the rest of the night with Todd. I've also gone shopping with Lauren (I finally got some "going out" shirts, so I don't always have to wear my roommate's clothes anymore!), and had pizza with Lauren and Ash T, which gave us all a little bit of intestinal discomfort. Dispite the discomfort, that was a good night.

So there's my week. Relaxing yet busy. And of course eating all the time. I am going to be a huge balloon when I get back to school. My New Year's resolutions should change that though. Tomorrow I'm going to Boulder to see Ash with Jenn and possibly Elise, then to Vail on Monday to see Jim with Alex, Todd and Lauren... I think. We'll see how things go. Then I have some delightful b-day celebrations I will be having. But I don't want to rush things, I still have a week left of break and I want to savor it as much as possible.

Now that I've bored my readers to death I must bring the devoted bloggers back to life...humm.

Oh! I have some bad news.

My mommy has the flu. Poor mom. Send your wishes. And some money, ten percent goes to me. Just kidding. Not funny. What also is not funny is that my throat hurts... Dun dun dun!

I didn't mean to come on and write about what I did with who, but these days I don't seem much deeper than a street puddle. I am also somewhat uninspired by anything and there for I am not very motivated...I haven't even read one book yet. Except in my dream where I was reading this really long one about spiderman. It was good. I have had the craziest dreams, I should have been writing them down so I could write a poem about them. Oh well.

I apoligize about this long and dull post. Man, did I start the year out poorly. I promise I will make it up. Sometime or another.

But I am super tired and I want to get to bed before two for once, I need to get my body clock back on schedule.
Good tidings to you, to you and your kin.

With that said, good luck and goodnight.

Goodbye 2005

Seasons greetings! I just felt like saying that even though the seasons are almost over. Whatever the hell they are. Anyway, I got a small complaint about the speedo man and the lady/bellybutton pictures, so now I actually have to write something. If this writing comes out looking chunky bold I will be extremely angry.

Well Christmas was grand, I got everything I asked for, including a 30 GB I-POD. It's a nice one. Besides all the gifts I had a good day just hanging out with the family. My grandparents came over early and left after we opened some presents and the rest of the day we just hung out and acted like the crazy family that we are. Well since the year is coming to a close, I think I will recap on some of the things that have happened in this past year.

-I turned another year older and wiser
-I learned that not all good things last forever
-I finished up school and moved out of the dorms
-I figured out a way to get paid more, yet not acutally do more
-I learned more about people, and how even though they think they have everything figured out, they might have nothing figured out
-I opened my heart to the youngins at the pool, and grew to love them
-I became a big girl and moved into our own house!
-I became confused on my priorties, and got school mixed up with social life
-I pet a lizard in a tank that said "Do not touch, I bite"
-We had our first party
-I became more responsible (Ironic that this one is under the last one)
-I learned not to eat cheese that is called "cave aged"
-I retired from the sport of swimming
-I realized that the buns of steel video burns pretty bad
-Sleeping in until 12 everyday over break doesn't really do much good

AND THAT'S ALL I KNOW.
Well a lot more happened in the glorious year of 2005, yet it probably wasn't all that exciting. MH '05 was a complete dud, and now has to be carried into 2006, which I must say I am NOT happy about. Not at all.

Now for the rest of the year I intend to go up to FoCo, and sit around here. And next year there will be other grand things. I would do my New Year's resolutions, yet they would be the same as everyone else: Lose weight and get good grades, tehe (read in very girly voice)

So that's the scoope (sp?) on my grand life. Things are pretty good around here, it's been really nice to see people and just hang out with my buds, and my family. Tonight should be a night of mystery and intrigue. If I could spell. Until then laundry, lunch, bike!

Happy New Year!

I should have known

Take the quiz:
What type of swimmer are you?

Sprinter
You are a SPRINTER. You love smoking the competition, because you know you can do it every time. You're loud, energetic, and love attention. Your stroke might not be the prettiest thing to watch, but you can move in the water like a shark. You are intimidating to other swimmers, and you celebrate even if you shave off a hundreth of a second. You're either bald, or wear a cap, and shaving is a daily event. Your flip turn either makes or breaks your time, and you concentrate hard on power and length of your arms. You're the person that everybody whispers about to a friend and says that's the one. If you got a lane, you got a chance.
