OBX

I heart OBX...

Well it's late, but I just wanted to write a little about my trip. It was wonderful--I slept, sat on the beach, boogie boarded, read, ate and just had a good time. It was perfect and exactly what a vacation should be.
The past two summers I have gone to the beach (Cali and Hawaii) but I would consider those to be more of trips than vacations. We were going there for swim meets, so not as relaxing as one might think and there's always a little drama when you go somewhere with 20+ people your own age. Anyway, I digress...

So yeah, it was so nice--waves pretty good although rough at times, but by the last two days it was calm enough to take the sea kyack (sp) out. It was pretty cloudy the last two days as well but besides that it was really nice. I did end up reading about 5 and a half books, which was good. It reminded me of how much I love to read and how I really miss it. It really clears my head, gets me into the zone. And I did some writing which was well overdue.
We had some of the best meals of my life the whole week, and we got some entertainment with fireworks from my brother, an awesome lightening storm and the kids next door with their staged fighting. That was pretty weird, but damn funny nonetheless.

I missed everyone back home, and it's good to be back. I did not miss work, or math, but that will be over in two weeks and then back to school!
Traveling is tiring and I am still on NC time, so it's really really late for me right now.
So in conclusion I had a wonderful trip, and I am almost ready to go back to school. Almost.
Here are some picutres from the digital we took last week, and I'm sure there will be more to come. Enjoy!

The view from our beach house. The last two days it was a little rainy so it's a little hard to see. Posted by Picasa

Brain snapshots

Here are some more pictures of the summer. Just got back from math class and it was long. Not to mention that my eyes are burning from when I got high levels of chorine in them. Little bit and a chemical accident, it's ok, I'm better now. I am thinking about getting packed for my trip on Saturday, got a lotta stuff to get ready. And it's so damn hot in this state. It's horrible on the guard stand, blazing heat, I mean you could fry an egg on the sidewalk.

I am really excited to leave, I really need a break from everything, I am sick of work and lessons and class and swimming. Just a week on the beach, relaxing, soaking up rays and enjoying my time off. When I get back I am in full swing with everything again for a few weeks and then back to school. Which I have mixed feelings on, but I am mostly so excited.

Now all I need is a man. The true man of all men. Just kidding, I am a woman who can hold her own, I don't need anyone else!!
I was just talking to my friend about stuff and I said I think the reason heartbreak hurts so much is because you let yourself trust that person, you lay your feelings on the line, and you give them everything you have. And when it's all said and done it HURTS BITCHES! I wouldn't really know actually. Not so much. But I am the foutian of knowledge, since I know all. ALL I SAY. Well I am tired and pretty grumpy, although there have been times where I have been more grumpy in the past. I am going to go do something productive. Peace out.
