Here we go

I'm a terrible blogger. I can't believe it's been since mid-way through summer since I last wrote. I've been busy, yes, but that's not a very good excuse. I hate it when people use that as one when they don't call people back. I've been guilty of it, I admit, but I don't do it a whole lot.

Well school is zooming by already. It's been six? weeks and although I feel like I'm still in summer mode, I feel like this semester should be over soon. It's my last one with classes though! :( I won't be riding my bike to campus or meeting up with friends for lunch or to grab a quick beer in the LSC, and I won't be sitting in class listening to discussions without having to worry about leading them. Sad. But I still have a few months left, so I'll savor them. I owe my dear blog a lot of pictures, so eventually I will pick a variety since I last posted and put them up.

Well the weekends have been really good. It's usually either really laid back or really busy, both of which I enjoy, it just depends on my mood. Last weekend was crazy--we went out both nights and it ended up being really fun. One of the nights was our welcome home party for Dan since he just got back from El Salvador and that was a pretty good time (minus the fact that he has trouble eating American food so he was sick all night). This weekend is Tour de Fat where you dress up, ride bikes around town and then have a festival. I guess. I've never been of legal age to participate (nor have I ever even heard of it), but it should be pretty fun. That's why I'm "working on my essays right now"...This is my warm up write ok! Lay off! I really need to get going though because I have to shower before going to the abroad fair on campus. I hope they have some info about teaching abroad since that is what I really want to do.

Besides that things are good, yet busy. I'm swimming about twice a week with the master's team here, which I really like so far. I have class on M and W for a long time and then I come home and swim, so it makes those days very long. But overall, it makes the week go by faster. I have a ton of school work and this semester I'm taking the most credits I've ever taken, so I'm a little worried about that. I really need to get a job as well because I don't know how I am going to pay for anything. Especially gas since I finally have my car.
Friends are good, family is good even though I miss them, the roomies are just grand and things are dandy. I just need to stop procrastinating and work out when I say I'm going to and I'll be perfect! Just kidding.

Ok I'm gonna write my essays now, but I will be back sooner than later, seriously! Cheers for now!

Whew

I can't believe it. Summer is already halfway over. I've been moving in slow motion lately, it's too hot to be going too fast. Life is good though, I have no complaints.
I just got back from a weekend in the Fort, which was just what I needed. It was good to get away from the pool for a few days and hang out with my friends that live there. On Friday I got job aps and then we all just hung out with wings and beer, and on Saturday a few of us went swimming in Horsetooth. Which was fun, but I'm sure that reservoir is nasty. My suit smells like fish.

I've been doing what I can lately which seems like a lot of nothing. Work is routine, and my nights are just whatever seems to come up. I seem to go to Ash's with Jenn once a week to watch Sex and the City, I've been hanging out with Todd and Alex a few times a week, swimming with Lauren every so often as well as doing other things, hanging with Ash T, and I'm going to Fort Collins whenever I can and everywhere else when I can't. I've been out in Boulder and Denver, as well as just hanging out around here. So it's been good, and I've been keeping busy. I also just bought a plane ticket to New York!!! I'm going on the 26th to visit Hannah for a few days, and luckily I got on the same flight as Ashley. So that should be really fun. I haven't been out of the state (minus the road trip to North Dakota) since I went to Boston last spring. So I'm really excited. Plus I've never been to New York, and I think I should be getting around to going.

Until then I have to go to my cousin's Deb ball on the same night Lauren is going out for the big 2-1, so I'll have to meet them later. I also have my dad's b-day stuff tonight after work, and working out and working all week. I still have a ton of things I want to do this summer, which include hiking, the zoo, more Rockies games, camping, reading, going to the museum, Vail, Steamboat, Waterworld, tubing, ride my bike around and a few more. So I need to be keeping busy.
So far the pictures are from what I've been doing sorta, and there will be more to come.

Ah, I love summer :)
