Nose to the grindstone?

I have a bit of good news, I am still alive. Little Jessica's adventures in the big city proved quite well, and believe it or not I did not get lost once, I did not take the wrong train and I did not even have to ask anyone for directions. Consider this the new and improved Jessica. I made it.

It was a good time, the first night we went sake bombing, which was followed by some fried chicky at late night. The next day we walked around the city (I got to see where the Delcaration of Independence was read and where the Boston Tea Party was started!), hung out and just watched some movies that night. On Friday I walked around the gorgeous campus with Alex and later went into China town. That was interesting, they killed the fish right in front of us and we found the best and most expensive costume shop right before we left. That night we just partied in the dorms, we aren't legal to celebrate St. Patties day in the city at the bars which is a bummer, but at least we had some green jello shots, and a bit of a dance party. The next day I departed for Denver after having about an hour and a half layover in Chicago.

So it was a good time, it was awesome to see the city and it's really cool, but man am I glad to be home. This spring, once it gets nicer, I plan to take advantage of the beauty of Colorado and get out and be active. And be thankful we have the mountians and I don't just live in a city.

The rest of break went well, I made a trip to the museum (I can't remember if I already said that or not...) and just got to spend time with my family, which was nice. Since I've been back at school I have been completely unmotivated to do anything but sit around and I've had an urge to have dance parties. Which isn't really happening, but a girl can dream. I have a 7 page paper due tomorrow, which I have yet to start. Damn, it's gonna be a late night. I'm already exhausted because I had some strange and violent fever-like dreams last night that kept me tossing and turning and waking up just about every hour. It was not fun to say the least.

Anyway, I wrote some poems in class yesterday, but I think I am going to wait to post them, or maybe I won't post them at all. We'll see how I feel. Below are spring break picts, mostly from Boston, so enjoy.

Time to eat some lunch before class. I'll try not to fall asleep or think about this weekend. Or boys. Or whatever else I think about in class. Wish me luck...
